The Samson Effect is a “first class thriller brimming with intrigue and adventure.”- Clive Cussler
The heroes in The Samson Effect are following archeological clues that they hope will lead them to dormant seeds that are 3000 years old. At the time I wrote the book, scientific research reported that the oldest dormant seeds to germinate were about 1300 years old. In June of 2008, Dr. Sarah Sallon of Louis L .Borick Natural Medicine Research Center at Hadassah Medical Organization in Jerusalem, Israel announced that she had successfully grown an extinct tree from 2000 year old dormant seeds found in Masada, Israel. To read more about this, and how it impacts the research in The Samson Effect, please visit the Fact Vs Fiction Tab. While there, you will be able to view a photo that Dr. Sallon sent me of her and the plant along with a Bonus Excerpt of The Samson Effect.

Remember to call ahead to make sure the book is still in stock. If it’s sold out, they can place an order for you.
2. The second piece of news that I want to share with you is that I have started the second book in the series. I am not ready to release details about it yet, but I will post forthcoming info about it here and in my newsletter.
Updated Friday, February 29th
I just found out that the National book sellers at Barnes and Noble gave my publisher the incorrect date that they were planning to stock my book at the store. The date they had planned was March 18th, but they have agreed to order the books asap and display them as soon as the store receives the books. They are expecting the books in this weekend or early next week at the latest. I am sorry if this has caused an inconvenience for anyone who may have made a trip to purchase the book. The good news is that we won't have to wait until March 18th for the book.
Updated Monday, February 25th
It's been about a month since my last update after dealing with the loss of two family members, but I now have some big news I'm eager to share with you. The national booksellers at Barnes and Noble have chosen to place my book at one of their high profile stores in Dallas, TX for an eight week period. If it does well, they can choose to extend the time or even place the book nationwide.
So, if you live in the DFW area and you are looking to pick up a copy of The Samson Effect, please consider supporting me by picking it up at the following location:
Barnes & Noble Booksellers
Lincoln Park
Lincoln Park
7700 West Northwest Hwy. Ste. 300
Dallas, TX 75225
214-739-1124
Please call ahead to make sure the book is in stock. If it's not, that's a good sign. It means it's selling well. Just place an order for it at their order desk. The more orders they get, the more likely they will be to order a larger stock of the title. The book debuts at that B&N tomorrow, Tuesday February 26th.
Updated Tuesday, January 23rd
It's official! I just received the notification in the mail from my current publisher that I have been awarded the Reader's Choice honors. That means that enough of you have purchased my book to earn the honor. You have my deepest thanks and I hope that through your help, enough people will learn about The Samson Effect to keep the awards coming.
Updated Tuesday, January 22nd
After many, many requests, I have finally made it easier for you to purchase signed copies from the website. You can now order signed hard covers and paperbacks of The Samson Effect directly from me. For details, please see the Purchase Tab.
NOTE: All unsigned book orders need to occur through the links to Amazon.com, BN.com, or iUniverse.com listed on the Purchase Tab.
Updated Thursday, January 17th
The numbers are not official, but preliminary data says that you have helped me achieve a great honor for The Samson Effect. I have sold enough books through retail channels like Amazon.com and BN.com to receive my publisher's Reader's Choice award. In fact, with the surge of sales I had in December, I am not too far from reaching the only other honor left for me to achieve from my publisher--the Star Program!
The Star Program will have the biggest impact on my book's success nationally. When I achieve that honor, the publisher will start to invest in The Samson Effect by promoting it nationally. Perhaps the biggest thing that will happen is that all hurdles will be removed that are currently making it difficult for The Samson Effect to sit in every bookstore in the country. With the Editor's Choice, Publisher's Choice, and soon to be the Reader's Choice honors under my belt, I am humbled for the swell of support that made it happen. To help me get one step closer to the Star Program, please visit my purchase page.
IN OTHER NEWS, I am humbled to announce that I have been chosen as the Author of the Month for February at Zimbooktu, an online bookstore and writing community. Just to let you know of the company I am in, among last year's AOM were John Grisham, James Rollins, Jack DuBrul, and Paul Kemprecos. The owner of the site has invited you to visit anytime, but especially during the month of February. I will be on his forum answering questions from his visitors. I would love to see a great showing from you all there.
IN STILL OTHER NEWS, one of my major goals was realized a few weeks ago. I am excited to announce that I have signed an agreement with one of the most prominent literary agents in the world: Frank Weimann of The Literary Group International is now working on finding a major publisher for The Samson Effect. His agency is known as the Home of the best Selling Authors and his experience is rivaled by no one. When he successfully finds a major publisher for my book, The Samson Effect will be off the market while the new publisher plans a new release. So, if you want the current edition of The Samson Effect, now is the time to act before a new deal is struck.
AND FINALLY, new reader reviews from Amazon.com have been posted on the Praise Tab. See why people are saying:
Intriguing premise; lots of action
Trying to catch my breath!!!
and You won't be able to put this book down!
In a few days, I will be adding the links of a few more author friends, so please be on the lookout for that. I have some authors and books that I think you will find interesting.

I wanted to share an interview that Mayra Calvani did with me on Blog Critics Magazine. In it, you can read about some of my quirky writing habits, why blue ink can put me in a foul mood, and how I deal with writer's block. She also touches on authors' fragile egos and asks how I handle negative criticism.
All that and more can be found at:

I hope you enjoy the interview.
